If you, or a loved one, suffer from asthma, you are aware of the terrible symptoms that accompany this chronic lung disease.

As a child, growing up in New York City in the late 1950's, I often suffered from severe allergy and respiratory problems. The symptoms continue to plague me to this day.

I was the only kid on my block to have an air conditioned room, a luxury for a middle class family, in 1957.

It was my parent's desperate attempt to help me relieve my itchy eyes, runny nose, and constant sneezing.

Though I've never personally experienced asthma, as a result of my own breathing problems, I can empathize and relate to the anguish of those who do.

In the United States alone, more than 20 million people have been diagnosed with this lifetime illness.

Nearly 9 million of them are children.

Worldwide, it is estimated that some 300 million people are affected.

This website, is dedicated to educating the public about asthma treatment and it's prevention.

Unfortunately there is no cure for asthma.

Yet, with proper treatment, most sufferers can expect to have few or no symptoms.

Correct asthma treatment means taking medicines as prescribed, avoiding your asthma triggers, and monitoring your asthma regularly.
